I am glad that we have some many wonderful parks in Belleville. We can go on the waterfront path for walks and stop at the various parks.

Here is my little grand-son giving another cheezy smile. It has been SO much fun babysitting him this week- it sure helps to have a park next door to our house! Brings back memories when I use to bring my kids to this park! How time flies- when you are having fun and I sure am having fun.

Innocent look! Don't be fooled!
Wrong way, Nathan!

Here is Nathan with a cheezy grin at the front of the cottage!

He loves to collect pinecones so here is one of the hundreds he collects! Fortunately we do not have to keep them since he throws them in the water.

He noticed the black top on the ski-pole at the back of Poppa's boat. What do you think he yelled out when he saw it? Microphone!!! So he is about to sing us a song with the microphone. Oh, he makes us laugh many times in a day!
Well, he is reading his shark book for the hundredth time today. Blue Bear just got tired of hearing it so just fell over in sheer exhaustion! Good friend, Blue Bear since you hung in for about 50 times!

We are looking after our foster grand-son for a week while Mark and Elisabeth are on a missions trip to Jamaica. We are having so much fun! Here is Nathan at the cottage holding the ladder while Poppa cleans out the eavestrough.

He is looking at his favourite book about SHARKS! He loves to scare himself with the big shark on the last page. There is faithful old Blue Bear beside him listening to the story.

The Rideau Waterways has been officially designated a World Heritage Site. The locks are cranked open with chains and gears just as they were 175 years ago. Roger is making sure this guy is doing his job.

Some of the beautiful scenery along the way.

We went on the Rideau waterways with our friends, Gary and Sue. We have been promising ourselves we were going to do a Rideau trip for a few years. So this is just the beginning of our travels on the Rideau.

Here we are backing the boat in at our first spot.

Here is the gate opening for us - we were first in line and we only had two in the locks! But it got busier and busier and the boats got bigger and BIGGER!

What do they love to do? Rock jumping, tubing in threes, swimming, skiing, eating. Life jackets enough for everyone hanging on the rail.

Faith Baptist Youth event at our cottage, July 2oth weekend. We had a blast!!

Girls setting up their tents and learning to row a boat for the first time! The boat went in circles for a long time amidst many screams!
Some of the guys fishing just before sunset.

Here I am sailing with my friends Gary and Sue on Buck Lake. Roger is taking photos from our boat.

This loon was preening just in front of our cottage.

Roger taking a photo of some bug on our walk down the creek.
Elisabeth and Nathan tubing. Poppa was driving slow until Nathan was sure he liked it!!

Here we are as a family at the Bayshore Trail in Belleville. Mom couldn't come to the cottage on the July 1st week since she is still in the hospital. So we got a day pass and took her out for the day.

Here we are- Philip, Amber, Dave, Esther, Mark, Mom, Elisabeth, Nathan and Steve. Mom just loves Herchimer park and always has wonderful memories of it!
Roger and I with mom. Nathan going down the slide and me making sure someone is catching him at the bottom.

Nanna couldn't go to the cottage on the July 1st weekend so we went to see her at the hospital. Here are Steve and Philip and you can see how happy she is about the boys visiting! She hasn't seen Philip and Amber in two years.
Oh, boy!!! You know if Steve has fireworks in his hand we are in for BIG trouble. Keep looking at the photos and you will see what happens!
The sailboat races begin at the cottage- with Mark ( our son-in-law) , Mark ( one of Philip's closest friends) and Philip.
The Regatta is in full swing!
